Since its inauguration, Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple has followed the vow of Venerable Master Hsing Yun to let “The Buddha’s light shine in the whole universe, and the Dharma water flow in the five continents,” spreading the teachings of the Dharma around the world.

Hsi Lai Temple spares no effort in its mission in the areas of education, culture, charity, and religious practice. We seek to repay our gratitude for the blessing of the Triple Gem and the support of the Celestial Guardians and to benefit the masses of all Dharma Realms. Hence, Hsi Lai Temple will be conducting the Water and Land Dharma Service from April 14 to 27, 2024. We pray for the compassion of the Triple Gem and for the celestial guardians to protect all sentient beings in the Three Realms, ridding them of obstructions, increasing their fortune, and realizing their wishes. May the deceased in both water and land everywhere be able to depart from suffering, attain joy, and reborn in the pure land. We sincerely invite devotees and Dharma friends from all directions to participate in the service so we can all be blessed by the light of the Triple Gem and make bodhi connections with the multitudes.
