To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Fo Guang Shan founding, Fo Guang Shan Monastery is launching a lantern-painting competition and cordially invites Fo Guang Shan temples at home and abroad to participate, conveying peace and hope through their creations.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲：" Transmit the Light for Sixty Years，A Century of Aspiration "— Let the Buddha’s light transcend time and space, captured through the strokes of your brush. For sixty years, countless vows have gathered, flowing continuously like the Dharma stream. Now, we warmly invite you to hand-paint a “Lamp of Inheritance. “Each lamp carries a unique story of “My Connection with Fo Guang Shan. “When the gentle breeze sets them alight, thousands of lamps will softly whisper together:“This is the ever-flowing vitality of Humanistic Buddhism.”.

𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀：

• ✔️Adults (18 and above)
• ✔️Secondary School Students (13-18years old )
• ✔️Children (10-12 years old)
• ✔️Young Kids (9 years old and below)

𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: November 16th, 2025

𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: November 23rd, 2025

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

• ✔️After registration, pick up a 14” paper lantern from FGS Dallas Temple.
• ✔️Artwork Requirements: Refer to online sample images for painting ideas. After done your painting, apply a clear waterproof spray. Once dry, submit your lantern to FGS Dallas Temple.
• ✔️Participants from Sunday School and TCML should submit lanterns to their respective leaders.

𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀：

• ✔️Exhibition at FGS Dallas Temple

Prize winners will be announced on February 1, 2026, on the Fo Guang Shan Global Website.

*All entries's (including winning entries) lanterns will be handled by the organizer after the exhibition and will not be returned.
